This Privacy Policy describes how the Rental Tracker mobile application ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. By installing or using the app, you agree to the practices described below.

1. What data the app itself collects

The app does not collect, transmit, or store your personal or business data on any remote server. Everything you enter into Rental Tracker — including rental orders, customer details, item catalog entries, and pricing — is stored only in your device's local storage. We have no backend, no user accounts, and no analytics service that tracks your in-app activity.

If you uninstall the app, all of that data is removed with it. You can export a CSV backup at any time from the Profile screen; that backup is written to a location of your choosing on your device and is not uploaded anywhere.

2. Data collected by Google AdMob

The app displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google LLC and, when ads are served, will automatically receive and process information about your device, including:

• Your device's advertising identifier (a resettable ID — you can reset or limit it from your Android device settings)
• IP address and approximate (city-level) location derived from it
• Device model, operating system version, and language
• App version and basic ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is used to deliver and measure advertisements. We do not receive or store any of it. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via your device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android).

3. Permissions the app requests

• Internet access — required by AdMob to fetch advertisements. The app itself does not make network requests for your data.
• Read/Write storage (Android < 13) and Media access (Android 13+) — used only when you export or import a CSV backup. Files are written to and read from locations you choose.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any data we collect — because we do not collect any. The only third party that processes data through the app is Google AdMob, as described in Section 2.

5. Children's privacy

Rental Tracker is intended for users aged 18 and over operating a rental business. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

6. Your rights and choices

• Delete your data — uninstall the app, or use the Profile screen to clear stored rental records.
• Limit ad tracking — reset or opt out of the advertising ID in your device settings.
• Request information — contact us at the address below.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
